Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) has won the top award in the non-banking financial services sector for the eighth time at the 2025 National Business Excellence Awards and also won the award for Excellence in Corporate Management Skills.
Organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, the awards were nominated based on factors such as the companies’ business acumen, business excellence in challenging times for the country, and sustainable business models.
The awards recognize how businesses are performing well amid economic crises and their contribution towards a sustainable future.
Speaking at the event, the company’s Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Tamith Tennakoon, said, “The dedication and innovative efforts of our team have made CDB a force to be reckoned with in the country’s economic development.”
